Emily Bachmann

I walked through the door to meet with Mo one year after GAF opened. Having spent my adult working life as a social worker, primarily serving women and adolescents in a variety of settings, I was ready for something new.

It was early on in the business and Mo was looking for someone she could mentor into the role of assistant trainer. She invited me to come on board and, the next thing I knew, I was being integrated into the early-stage development of an incredibly special fitness community.

Ever since, I’ve been developing my physical training and coaching skills in lockstep with the development and training philosophy of the business under Mo’s wing.

I find that the combination of my years of social work experience, my desire to interact and connect with people in a helping role, my own exercise background and the mentoring and hands-on experience I’ve received at Mo’s side have given me the tools to offer a sincere contribution to GAF that generates a meaningful difference in the lives of our members.

As well, I help Mo with the day-to-day operation of the business.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Linguistics from Wesleyan University, a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University and hold my certified personal trainer credential from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
